USTB celebrates 70th anniversary

University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) celebrates its 70th anniversary on April 22, with alumni looking back at its contributions to the development of China's steel industry.

In the celebration of anniversary, Yang Renshu, president of USTB, reviewed the university's history and important achievements, saying that it will keep serving the country with advancement strategies and cultivating high-quality talents.

Chinese President Xi Jinping replied to a letter from senior professor of USTB. In his letter, Xi called for nurturing more high-caliber talent to advance the innovative, green and low-carbon development of the steel industry.
