NCMS is located in "Zhong Guan Cun National Engineering Technology Innovation Base" in Changping District of Beijing, about 25 kilometers away from the main campus of University of Science and Technology Beijing. NCMS covers a total area of 317,000㎡ , with a total investment of about 1.25 billion RMB. It is divided into experimental workshop area, living area, scientific research area and administrative office area.
There are seven plants in the experimental workshop area with a total of 9173㎡.
In the living area, there are student dormitories that can accommodate 1,600 people, as well as postdoctoral dormitories, expert dormitories and a cafeteria totaling 24,580㎡.
Scientific research area and administrative office area are in a building of 49,996㎡.
In the future, there will be 500 researchers (including guest researchers, visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows) and 2,000 graduate students (including doctoral and master students) working and study in NCMS.
