Researches
Fuhai Liu is a Lecturer in the National Center for Materials Service Safety at the University of Science & Technology Beijing. His research areas include the control process for the EAF and BOF steelmaking process, material failure process in the extreme environment, and pipeline corrosion process under the insulation.
Dr. Liu is now leading the lime-powder injection technology by bottom-blowing in EAF steelmaking process and new structure development for coherent oxygen lance. Meanwhile, he also works as the team leader for flow field measurement in the extreme environment, development of security evaluation system for the LNG line.

l Main Contributions
- A coherent lance using preheating method is tested in a combustion experiment to research the effect of preheating temperatures and sgas types on the flow field characteristics on main supersonic jets.
- The D6AC steel is tested in a wind tunnel system, and sample is investigated by SEM and XRD. The results show the ablation products and ablated specimen, which could be used to assess the D6AC steel service performance in the extreme environment.
