The NCMS(USTB)-OAS(TohokuU) joint workshop

The International workshop for materials service safety is hosted annually by National Center for Materials Service Safety (NCMS), University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB) and Organization for Advanced Study (OAS), Tohoku University, Japan. This series of workshops have been held for three consecutive  years. It provided a global exchange platform for researchers focusing on Surface science and corrosion, Materials service safety evaluation, Non-destructive monitoring development, High temperature materials and Modeling and simulation for materials, etc. 

This workshop was launched by Tohoku University (TohokuU), Japan and University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB), China, basing on the bilateral OAS-NCMS joint research laboratory. The influence of this series workshops is expanding year by year. Up to now, lots of scholars from Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sun Yat-sen University and Yokohama National University (YNU) et al. have joined in this workshop. In this important academic activity, we invite scientists from famous universities and research institutes in China and abroad to exchange the latest research achievements and to promote the multidisciplinary communication for the further innovative collaboration.
